1.3,000 that is how many words you need to know to understand 95% of spoken English but what is the best way to learn these words most people try to learn English with online tutors memorizing vocabulary lists or sitting in a classroom for hours but these methods are slow boring and expensive so what's the solution the answer is simple it's comprehensible input as the key driver of language acquisition we acquire language in only one way when we understand it most people call that comprehensible input but what is comprehensible input let me show you an example hello guys let's go outside outside this is a door i am opening the door these are my shoes this is a dog this is a dog an animal the dog's color is beige so now we're outside this grass has been cut this grass has not been cut so you can see the difference this grass is taller it's taller and it has not been cut this grass is shorter it's shorter so it has been cut now these are trees these are lemons and this is a car there is someone inside of the car you see inside you could also call this a pond it's a pond of water even if you didn't understand every word I said your brain is already learning through the visuals context and repetition and also you could probably guess what I was talking about based on my actions right the comprehensible input learning method is better than other methods because you'll learn vocabulary pronunciation listening comprehension skills grammar and sentence structure and by far the most how to start thinking in English all without boring lessons and textbooks so that is why I decided I'm going to teach you these 3,000 words through real life vlogs to make learning fun natural and way way less boring these are real life vlogs traveling and adventures all designed to be as interesting as possible to teach you English with comprehensible input in a fun way so that it doesn't feel like work it doesn't feel like you're studying because I want you to stick around until you reach your goals of being fluent in English whether you're beginner or advanced these videos will help you become fluent in English and should be a part of your daily study routine so the steps you want to follow is first you want to watch comprehensible input videos like my videos and as you're watching these videos you want to practice listening comprehension your pronunciation you could practice shadowing techniques as you watch these videos and also watch out for sentence structure grammar and just learn this naturally instead of doing lessons in class the second step is to reinforce this learning you just had in the video you could use this chat GPT prompt I made for you it's in the description and this allows you to just reinforce what you learned in the video so it gives you the definition for the word again it gives you examples for the past present and future it also gives you many quizzes to ensure you everything about that word and finally it's very customizable so if you want to have different verb tenses you could just ask it to give you different verb tenses for that word and also it could explain to you just in English or in English and your language or just your language whatever your level is and whatever you're with this will really help you solidify your learnings from the comprehensible input video and on top of that you can just ask it any questions or any you have about anything in English and it will answer it and the third step is more optional but if you want to remember this words for the long term especially if you don't have the chance to speak English a lot you can use an SRS software like Anki and put these words into that software to make sure you don't forget them and if you don't want to use an SRS software you can just simply review the words on your own time whenever you feel you need to revise them and the great thing about this strategy it's very simple it's just three steps to follow so in summary watch comprehensible input videos like mine use the Chat GBT prompt I gave you in the description to help reinforce what you just learned the third step use an SRS software for i'm talking months and years and even if you don't follow all the steps you could just watch the videos and that will still be for you because it has comprehensible input which is a great way to learn comprehensible input videos like this are four times more effective than traditional learning methods this means that my 10 to 15 minute vlog is worth up to one hour of classroom instruction and it's completely free all I ask is that you please subscribe and share these videos with your friends and don't forget to turn on notifications so you never miss a vlog if you haven't seen my previous videos check out this playlist to catch up on the words you've missed and if you guys want you could follow my personal Instagram Vulca Eagle and don't forget you will be fluent one day you just have to keep on trying and not give up [Music]
