1.we are back born in New Zealand and raised in Australia our next guest shot to fame as a member of one of the K-pop groups of all time black pink earlier this year she made as the first female Korean artist to break into the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 list with her hit song up uh you can find that track on her first oh you're fan okay I got it um you can find that track on her first full length album Rosie it's out now everybody please Ros [Applause] I love your whole vibe happy New Year happy New Year yeah do you like we were just talking about resolutions do you do resolutions uh do I I don't think I really do no should just thought okay sometimes yeah I think we do ones that are like like it's like I'm going to do this yeah and then you don't yeah yeah maybe you're better to not do it I did hear a goal of yours though which is is to own a cantro farm yes I hate cilantro oh really here's the thing I'm one of those people like you know like certain people taste yes so so so bad to yeah yeah I know we do food demos here all the time and people always include cilantro I'm obsessed I'm obsessed I know it is a thing you either love or hate it do you like beets beets I love beets I I don't hate it okay usually people I'm not obsessed with it I love beets I can have beets for like every meal okay so you get beets and I get cilantro so I'll have the Beet Farm your next door you have the cilantro yes cute very cute yeah it started as a joke but then like I just but now it's real you've committed everyone was here for it I'm just it's my retirement plan now so like I'm actually kind of serious about it I love it I love growing my own food I do think that's that's fun to do but congrats enough about food congrats on your album thank you so much so why why did you want to call it Rosie um it was a big debate but we thought Rosie Rosie is the name that my friends and family call me um and so I felt like as much as this album is a little Journal of like you know my 20s um I felt like I I wanted my fans to feel like they could call me Rosie yeah and feel as if I'm their friend called it Rosie and I think it's kind of fitting because I heard this was the first time you actually really got to go in there and write and so it's really a good representation of you so I think that's kind of cool that you called it Rosie for that too did you like writing the experience of it yeah it was my very first experience like kind of being a part of the whole writing um process uh and I had so much fun and I you know I healed so much the whole process so for me it's like a really personal album I'm like yeah I'm really grateful for it yeah I love that as well it was was it easy for you right off the bat I'm I'm not always good in like writing situations like being super vulnerable with strangers right off the bat like that um is actually um hell to me oh really yes yes but i' write like if you see my name like I write a lot but it's usually me like on my own and then I bring something to the table are you good at just being vulnerable right off the bat I'm actually like really extrovert I don't seem extroverted but I love to like chitchat about yeah my problems in life and so like uh it wasn't too hot I was actually really scared walking into it and then I end ended up figuring out that like I love talking about my problems in life to Strang it it's like free therapy yeah I do have because they were strangers I don't know why oh that says something yes yeah cuz if I'm with like friends I feel like I need to be a certain person for them and you guard what you say maybe yeah but these people are strangers and it was also studio so like I trust that they won't tell people and so it was like a free therapy session for sure I know you know what I have a hard time sometimes in life figuring out how I feel as and and as a writer it's actually very very helpful for me because I will almost figure it out while writing the song I'm like oh that's how I feel about this and I didn't know do you do that no exactly that and I've had like the whole album is me kind of trauma dumping yeah Lally and then I kind of great sequel album yeah traum dump trauma dumping yeah nice great yeah and so I kind of left there and it's it's cuz I don't talk about it anymore I used to talk about that subject so much but you got it out after I got it all out I was like oh my gosh and I and I couldn't think of any more like any more subjects to write about that that particular story and so I you know moved on it's like free therapy I love it so much I'm with you well let's do another commercial break everybody Rose's First full length album is called called Rosie it's out now wherever you get your [Music] music thank you guys so much
