You can use it with friends colleagues or even people you don't know Well right for example if I see you in the morning I can say "How's it going Anna?" And I might reply "Pretty good Thanks How about you perfect The next phrase is what's up It's another informal way to say hello or ask what someone is doing Yeah it's super casual Like if I meet a friend I can say what's up And the friend might say "Not much just relaxing." Or "I'm working on a project." Okay what's next next we have no worries This phrase means it's okay or don't worry about it It's great when someone apologizes or thanks you For example if you say sorry for being late I can say no worries Exactly It's a friendly relaxed way to respond Then there's sounds good You use this when you agree with a plan or suggestion Like if I say let's meet at 3 p.m you can reply sounds good Exactly And last for this section we have take care This is a polite way to say goodbye especially when you want to show you care about the other person right you might say it at the end of a phone call or when parting ways with a friend like bye Take care Okay let's quickly recap the phrases in this section How's it going what's up no worries Sounds good and take care Listeners try to practice these phrases in your daily conversations They're easy and very useful And we'll use some of these again later in the episode so keep them in mind All right Anna Now that we've covered greetings and polite expressions let's move on to phrases you can use when making plans or just chatting about your day Great idea These phrases help keep conversations smooth and friendly especially when you're something with friends or colleagues Let's start with "Let's catch up soon." This is a casual way to suggest meeting someone to talk and share news Yeah For example after talking on the phone I might say "It was great talking to you Let's catch up soon." Perfect Next is "I'm running late." This is super useful when you're delayed but still planning to meet someone Right Like if I'm stuck in traffic I can text you I'm running late Sorry Exactly Then we have I'll be there in 10 It's a quick way to tell someone your estimated arrival time So if I leave home I might say "I'll be there in 10 minutes." Nice The next phrase is "It's up to you." This means you're letting the other person decide Like if we're deciding where to eat I could say "It's up to you Anywhere is fine." And last for this section let me know You use this when you want someone to give you or confirm something For example let me know if you can come to the meeting Perfect How about we do a quick roleplay with a few of these phrases sounds fun Okay Imagine we're planning to meet for coffee I say "Hey Anna I'm running a bit late I'll be there in 10:00." Exactly Then there's "What do you mean?" This is useful when you don't understand what someone said or want more explanation Like if I say something you can ask "What do you mean by that?" Perfect Next up is I didn't catch that This means you didn't hear or understand what was said Right so if someone talks quickly you might say "Sorry I didn't catch that Can you repeat it?" And that leads into the next phrase Could you say that again a polite way to ask someone to repeat themselves Yeah it's always good to be polite Like could you say that again please finally we have that makes sense You use this when someone's explanation is clear and you understand For example after I explain something you might say "Okay that makes sense." Now great Let's try a quick example conversation using some of the Imagine I say "The meeting starts at 3 but it's been moved to 4."
