1. I'm canoe lyson from Nitro and looks like you just scan this QR code right here with the internal ankle support pieces that you got in your new snowboard boots thanks for getting those and this is the video of how to put these into your boots to give you that extra support and that ankle support you need so stick with me and watch the process one thing that I would say could be key to have is a little paperclip this is going to help you so before you start try to find a paper clip and it's going to make the process a little easier for you all right so you've just picked up a new pair of nitro boots that come with the internal ankle support which is this piece right here comes with the QR code and that's probably where I at this video cuz you scan this code and uh there's two pieces and you just take it out like so take it off there's two pieces uh there's no right or left they go in both sides they they're the same so don't have to worry about that so to get these in what you're first going to want to do is take your boot and undo the lacing system like so open it up take the internal lacing laces out open it up and take your liner out because what you're going to want to do is you're going to want to you're going to be putting this piece into these laces and it's a little process but bear with us and I'll walk you through it first thing you want to do is you have to undo the knot here in the handle there's two knots that are connected to themselves and you just take them and slowly set seate them apart like so and then you undo one knot that and then you go to the other knot and you undo this knot now your laces are free to get the handle off so you just pull the laces out put one lace on one side pull it out put the other on the other side put this so you don't lose it and uh for the process of of when you're going to be putting the laces back in I'd recommend finding a paper clip cuz this can help push the laces through and you're going to take the paper clip make a straight end there open up the next and you're going to keep this hook because this hook you might use to hook onto laces to pull it through the but for now we're going to put this to the side and we're going to take out the laces from the uh internal lacing boot here so and one thing I would suggest it's kind of hard cuz the tongue keeps coming back one technique I found is good is you take the tongue forward and then you take the bottom TLS lace handle here wrap it around the tongue and take that and wrap it around the bottom of the boot here keep it like this and that's going to keep the tongue out of your way so what we're doing now is we're taking the internal laces out of the boot as you can see in there there's two loops and these laces are connected to the very bottom of the boot with knots and you don't have to take those out keep those keep the laces tied at the bottom cuz it's super hard to get there so you're going to be taking the laces out of this Loop and this Loop so now I have one side free I put the laces on the the corresponding side then I take the other lace put it on this side and you can see here the laces are are um they're at a they're crossing over each other you don't want that you want them to be free and not crossing over each other at the bottom there so now you have the laces out and what you're going to want to do now is you're going to want to put this ankle support piece right here together with the laces so the first thing you do is you take right side or left side here I'm taking the right side and you're going to put the lace through this is the top this is the top piece and this is the bottom you're going to be taking the lace through the bottom part here into that piece there push it through you'll see it come out on the top pull it through the top and then take the lace again through the top piece of that part there push it through see this one is kind of hard to get through so I'll use my safety pin that I made and I'll put the lace in I'll put the lace in the hole there and I'll take the safety pin or paper clip and just push it through it comes out easy like that so now I have one Loop done and then I'm going to do the other side same procedure on the other side go in from the bottom push it through shaking like I'm a surgeon I'd also recommend during this process to put on some music to relax the nerves so I get it through there and I pull it all the way through and then I put it back in in through the top to the bottom this one went a little so I didn't need to use the paper clip put it through so now I have the bottom on so I have those two pieces on so the next step is you're going to want to take the loop on the right side to the cor corresponding second loop from the top there on the bottom and push it through that Loop you can do this with your hands or you can also use uh the safety pin to get it through there as well but it's the hole is big enough to use it through with your hand okay so now that you got the bottom two pieces of the internal ankle support here and through the laces on the boot inside you're going to want to attach the top two spots on the ankle support here and here I'm going to start on the right side and once again you come in from the bottom side here push it in and you see here it comes out through the top and like the bottom you went in through the top back in again but here you see it's different than the bottom so you're going to take the lace and push it back through the bottom as as well like this and then you push it Forward into this track right here and sometimes it might just go all the way through and to make it go all the way through without going up to the top you could use your safety pin here and push it through but it might work didn't really work for me that time that's okay might not it might work for you might not here it didn't work so it comes out the top again and then you want to push it back through again here through there there so it comes out the hole there no matter how you do it the most thing is that it looks like this on the bottom and this on the top see the lace isn't out through the top here it's in its track and that's going to make it fit well better and glide the way it's supposed to Glide so now you got the right side done and you do the exact same thing on the on the left side push it through here the hole there trying to get it in there get it in again it came out through the top not a put it up and push it back in through there to get it back to the bottom again got on the bottom pull it through in its track and once again under that piece there see if I can get it all the way through without going through the top on again it went out through the top no biggie take it and you push it back on through there so it comes into the track how it's supposed to be so now you can see they're all in the track correctly there's the top view in the track in the track in the track no laces up on top here so once you got these in then you can pull the piece down to give yourself a little more room and then you have to go through the final holes at the top of the internal line in system here and I'd like to just push this thing open so you can make a little hole there and then you take the cord and push it through the hole like so take it to the side and do the exact same thing on the other side push this thing open to make a nice hole the hole a little bigger take the lace push the lace through and now we got it all laced up correctly into the boot and once you have this done you're almost done with the job the next thing is to attach the handle again to do that you push the lace through one side here there for you I like to push this to make it a little bigger push the lace through push and if you have a trouble is pushing it through then you can take your safety pin or paper clip like I have here and use it as a needle to help push it through and once push push through pull it all the way through and then do the exact same thing on the other side push it to open it a little push it through sometimes it's a little hard because it's you're pushing rope uh push it through use the safety pin again pushing it through now I have the laces through and what we're going to want to do here is we're going to tie two knots back onto themselves so you don't tie a regular knot like this you make a slip knot and to do that you take the lace on the left side wrap it around the lace on the right side tie it back to itself in a regular knot like so as you can see there just a regular knot and then you take this loose piece here you tie wrap that around the other lace and tie a knot back onto itself like so creating what I think it's called a slip knot so you got it like this right and as you can see here they slide they slip into each other it's to get it so the knots hit each other so the loose ends are facing away from each other like this because then it fits in the handle like so cuz then you can put the laces back into the handle like so and just pull it tight get it in there like this then you get a nice knot there and now you're internal lacing support is in the boot and all that's left is putting the liner back into the boot like this pull up on the laces internal lacing support is in there correctly all you want to do is take off your little makeshift holder there and you're ready to go boarding simple
